The starting point for the design of this house came from the client wanting the puja room at the North Eastern end of their plot so that the morning light would hit it first. Instead of a pooja room, this was designed as a small terrace garden with the tulsi plant. On the floor above, we placed yet another terrace garden, so that from any part of the house, one could see the terraces. The double height court filled the internal spaces with light. The lines of the pergola at the entrance and over the terrace, were echoed by the horizontal railings and the stone verticals in the puja garden.
