The developer who came to us with this project intended to build and fit out the interior for a specific client. We wanted to break away from the typical glass fronted office building one saw everywhere in the city and create a distinctive building, so we brought detail to the façade by playing with the glass fenestration, ACP and stone cladding.
The glass façade was split down the middle with a stone clad wall and each floor marked with a ledge in ACP. The entire building was topped by a swooping curved roof supported partially by a skewed column that rose from the ground. The double height reception was like a beacon drawing you inwards. The green glass echoed and reflected the verdure around the building. Each floor plate housed an open office with its complement of meeting rooms and other accessory spaces.
